CAMC CL of the Year
We Say...
Some of you will be unable to visit this award-winning CL on the Devon/Cornwall border, which is for the exclusive use of Caravan and Motorhome Club members. But it does have B&B rooms and a cottage for hire.
Club members will find a neat, pretty site by the River Tamar. Each pitch is equipped with 16A hook-up and water points, and a hut houses a modern toilet and shower room. Unusually, it offers laundry facilities and a drive over motorhome point. TV reception is good and Wi-Fi is included.
In fact, this site is a bit of a star, having achieved CL Overall Winner in 2014, second place in 2018, and CL Regional Winner of the Year four times.
Here you are only five minutes from the A30, which offers access for exploring all of Devon and Cornwall, should you desire, and a host of local attractions, including Launceston and Tintagel Castles, Brent Tor, Lydford Gorge, Tavistock and Jamaica Inn.
You Say...
"It's tranquil and clean, with happy owners who just cannot do enough for you."
"Where do you start? It's clean, the owners are very helpful, the shower block is immaculate, and if you need anything the owners do their very best to help you."
About this Certificated Location:
Poole Farm Certificated Location is run by Louise and Greg Holmes with the help of family. It is situated along the Devon & Cornwall border near Launceston, adjacent to the Tamar River. Open all year, each season has something fabulous to offer visitors.
Local attractions and things to do:
The site is ideally placed to explore all the wonderful things which Devon and Cornwall have to offer; historic houses & gardens, idyllic beaches and coves, market towns and rolling countryside.
Highlights of this site:
The couple say "it’s a real family affair here – all the family have a role to play. Louise runs the show, young Harvey is responsible for recycling, newspaper delivery, ice-cream runs and on the odd occasion, playing his saxophone in the middle of the site to entertain our caravan & motorhome guests, or running a ‘make shift’ dog agility competition for our four legged friends. Greg is head grounds person, caravan fixer and generally an all-round fab chap."

“From glamping in the valleys to cosy B&Bs in the hills, the sheer number of accommodation providers recognised for going the extra mile in this year’s awards demonstrates the outstanding quality of service and innovation of products on offer to visitors across the country. Providing a high level of customer service is crucial to repeat business and the spread of awards shows that the accommodation sector is thriving across the entire country.”
